Abstract: Critical cultural studies empowers individuals to analyze media culture production and gain power to face cultural environment. Recent years cultural studies develops a set of methods to study society and culture including a three-fold project of analyzing the production and political economy of culture, cultural texts, and the audience reception of those texts and their effects. This comprehensive approach requires us to analyze the dimensions of production, class, race, ethnicity, gender, nationality and ideology in culture production text, and the effects to audience’s reception of media culture. Media effects are complex and controversial, which leads to a cultural studies that is Critical, Multicultural, and Multiperspectival. Keywords: Media Culture; Cultural Studies; Multiculturalism
