ABSTRACT

Qingshi, masterpiece of Feng Menglong, is the collection and commentaries of love affairs, which gives a specific classification of various animal and plant images, such as “Qinghuawu”(means placing emotions on objects) and “Wuhuaren”(means personification). These animal and plant images, given human feelings, which embrace positive and negative sides of humanity, has the rich symbolic elements and connotative meanings. Through these images, the author of this paper highlights the character image and lifts the theme that reflects reasonable propositions concerning the society.
