Section 1: My best friend

Teaching Aims:

1. Learn to say the drills:

He/She likes ( music and sport ).

His/Her name is ( Terry/Linda ).

He/She is my best friend.

2. Learn to sing a song and try to circle what the children like.

3. Listening to information about three girls and finding out their names.

Key and Difficult Points:

a) Try to pronounce the words:

Music, sport, spiders, rats, friend, best…

b) Try to differentiate “he” and “she”, “his” and “her”.

Teaching Instruments:

You need: pictures of new words, tape-recorder

Teaching Process:

I.Warm up

a) Greetings

b) Listen to the music and sing a song: Ninety-nine Bananas a Day

II. Presentation

a) 由Warm up 环节中的歌曲歌词:Come on, everybody. Listen to my song. I’ve got a wonderful, wonderful friend. 入手,引入本单元的主题:Unit 6: Friends

b) 谈论自己的喜好,Use: I like…

T: Hello, Mary/Peter. What’s your favourite food/colour/…?

M/P: I like chicken/yellow…

c) 谈论他人的喜好,Learn to say: He/She likes…

T: Hi, Peter. What’s Mary’s favourite food?

P: She likes chicken.

T: That’s right. She likes chicken. Mary likes chicken.

(要求学生学说 She likes…)

T; Hi, Mary. What’s Peter’s favourite colour?

M: He likes yellow.

T: You’re right. He likes yellow. Peter likes yellow.

(要求学生学说 He likes… )

III. My best friends

a) Talk about your best friend: (让学生谈论自己的朋友)

Use: He/She likes…

His/Her name is…

He/She’s my best friend. (强调best 一词的读音)
