“Would you like tea or coffee?”This is a question frequently asked to diners.Many westerners would choose coffee while Chinese people would probably choose tea.Legend has it that a Chinese Emperor first discovered tea 5000 years ago and used it to cure illness.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,tea house were everywhere in the country.Having spread to Japan as early as in the 6th century,tea drinking was introduced to Europe and America only until the 17th or 18th century.Nowadays,tea is one of the most popular beverages in the world. Not only is tea the treasure of China,but also it is the important component of Chinese tradition and culture.
