江西省农民增收的实证分析

Empirical Analysis on Increasing Farmers’ Income in

Jiangxi Province

Abstract: The issue of "Tri－agricultural " is being concerned by our state, and it

needed to be solved urgently, the core of which is the problems about farmers, and the key to the solution of this issue is increasing farmers’ income. As a major agricultural province, we must do everything possible to increase the farmers’ income, and promote rural socio-economic sustainable and healthy development. In order to speed up socio-economic development of Jiangxi's rural areas, promote rapid growth for farmers’ income, and speed up the pace of development for Jiangxi province in central area of China, this paper has analyzed the status of farmers’ income growth in Jiangxi Province from a different period and farmers’ income structural changes. Based on this, with the actual data between 1992 to 2006, we take some economic indicators such as financial expenditure for agriculture, the level of agricultural mechanization, education of farmers, the price index of agricultural products and the rate of agricultural commodities as the variables to establish an economic model, and use the Eviews software to estimates this model. The results suggest that education and agricultural commodities rate have more obvious affect for farmers’ income growth. Based on the research results, we propose some measures to promote increasing farmers’ income, such as vigorously developing education, promoting human capital accumulation in rural areas, developing modern agriculture and establishing the basic business model of nonagricultural industries, actively guiding farmers to work in cities for raising wages level and so on.
