AbstractOrganic-inorganichybridsilicamembraneswerepreparedbysol-gelmethodwithbridgedsilsesqui-
oxane[1,2-bis(triethoxysilyl)ethane,BTESE]andphenyltriethoxysilane(PTES)asprecursors.TheporestructureandhydrophobicpropertyofthehybridsilicamembraneswerecharacterizedbyN2adsorption,con-tactanglemeter,TGandFTIR.Thehydrogenpermeationandseparationperformancewasalsoinvestigated.Theresultsshowthatthemodifiedhybridsilicamembranespossessadesirablemicroporousstructurewithaporewidthcenteredat0.4—0.6nm.Suchaporestructurecanberetainedafteragingfor30dunderatem-peratureof40℃andarelativehumidityof70%—80%.Thehybridsilicamembranesbecomehydrophobicaftermodification,withawatercontactangleof(125±0.4)°ataPTES/BTESEmolarratioof0.6.Thetransportationofhydrogeninthehybridsilicamembranescomplieswiththeactivateddiffusionmechanism,withapermeanceof8.71×10-7mol·m-2·Pa-1·s-1andaH2/CO2permselectivityof5.53.Keywords
