Afghanistan. Then he followed his father and moved to the United States. He aspired to sweep the dust on the Afghanistan ordinary people face and show the soul throbs behind to the world.

After reading the story, I was deeply moved.In the book ,three people left me a deep impression, who are Laila,Mariam and Rasheed. I will make a introduction about them.

When Mariam was young ,she was innocent, and was loved by her mother. But after being deluded by her father, she did not trust her mother anymore. Her insistence of going to her father’s house broke her mother’s heart. When Mariam returned, she found that her mother had committed suicide. After that, she became Rasheed’s wife at the age of 15. She was tortured cruelly just because she didn’t give birth to a son. Being unable to change the situation, she yielded at last.

Laila lost her parents and two brothers during the war. When she was

14,she was forced by Rasheed to marry him. At first, Rasheed treated her nice, but after she giving birth to a girl, his attitude became odious. Laila has her own strong opinions, and in face of the difficult life she was having, she even conspired running away with Mariam. She is brave enough to struggle and protest. However, after her plan failed, she became yield as well. She chose to live with Rasheed, and gave up fighting.

Rasheed forced Laila and Mariam to marry him when they were very

young, and beat them constantly. After his store was burnt , he lost income and became poor.

Then I want to talk about the relationship between Mariam and Laila.Both of them are living in a stage with a lot of war,political unrest and serious discrimination. Women are not free to go outside when no man accompany them.They are two different misery women gather together under one
