我们成功地应用PSO算法优化了多个S波段EDFA的结构参数,如EDF的长度、次级泵浦位置、两级泵浦功率以及长波长ASE滤波器的位置。输入信号功率为-20dBm时,在1486~1520nm实现平坦增益,在两级泵浦总功率为380mW下,EDFA系统的平均增益可达10dB以上,增益平坦度小于0.1dB,噪声系数小于5dB。另外本文还重点对插入长波长ASE滤波器的分配方案以及优化方法进行了分析和讨论,最后,将PSO算法与原理类似的GA算法进行了比较,PSO算法在解决S波段级联EDFA优化问题上具有更快的收敛速度。
