卷首语为期两个半月的安徽省 2010 年高中英语新课程远程培训----“高中英语— —评好课” 活动已经顺利地落下了帷幕! 做了三年安徽省远程教育的辅导教师,今年我的感触最多、最爽。首先是广 大老师们对待“新课程远程培训”这一新的学习方式的态度的明显变化让人感到 欣慰! 不知不觉中多数老师已经由三年前的排斥乃至反感转变到现在的接受甚至 喜爱。大家激情洋溢的网上互动就是明证:截止到 10 月 15 日,“论坛”区的主 题帖共有 3957 篇, 帖子数 共计 15078 篇(居各学科之首);“文章”区学员 发表的有效文章多达 5433 篇;“答疑”区学员们提出的各种问题更是达 12598 条之多! 其次,老师们的评课议课水平有了显著地提升!如果说学员们 2008 年就蚌Began 埠二中朱曙光老师执教的 How Life Began on the Earth 一颗的课评是刚刚入门的话,那么今年老师们就青岛二中纪筠老师执教 Film Stars 所写的课评绝对是 中级或以上的水平。 且不说大家就此话题有话可说----几乎所有的老师课评的篇 幅都远远多于 300 字,大多数老师的课评既有理论支持,又有实证依据;既谈优 点,又评不足。老师们的课评不拘一格:或全面评点;或从某一个或某几个角度 (如导入、教学设计、学生活动、教学效果、教学语言等等等等);或汉语点评, 或英文成稿…… 为了进一步巩固今年远程教育的成果,便于老师们相互学习、共同提高,我 们尝试着出两期“安徽省 2010 高中英语新课程远程培训简报----优秀作业专 辑”。 由于受时间和篇幅的限制, 这里只能刊登极少数老师的优秀作业, 敬请谅解。2

Comments on the Lesson “Film Stars” by Miss Ji Yun芜湖市区 张行文The lesson “Film Stars” taught by Miss Ji Yun has impressed us a lot and its highlights can be illustrated in the following aspects. First, with the instructive help of the teacher Miss Ji Yun, the students learned the reading text “Film Stars” in a rather relaxing and friendly classroom. Students participated in the activities to complete several tasks. At the beginning of the class, the teacher played the video tape for students to enjoy. The film excerpt of “Home Alone” is a good choice as it can draw the students’ attention to the main topic of the lesson. Displaying the photos of some film stars naturally brought out the theme of the lesson. In the reading activities, students were required to read the text extensively to gain the general idea and intensively reading helped them know more details about good things and difficulties of being a film star. Second, when students were instructed to talk about film stars in the homeland, they discussed in groups and exchanged the ideas freely. With the teacher’s encouragement, students were inspired to present their opinions orally in the classroom by practicing using the words and phrases learnt in the text as much as possible. A debate “would you like to be a star?” was conducted among groups to develop the students’ imagination and cooperative learning skills. Thirdly, vocabulary learning is a difficult part in the text. Students were encouraged to explain the meanings of the new words according to the context. The teacher’s hints were beneficial for students to understand them. Students were asked to choose one from the two assignments, which can meet the students’ interests and satisfy their needs.3

Finally, in the process of learning the reading text “Film Stars”, the teacher educated the students that they should have appropriate attitudes towards the life of film stars and that to be a star is not easy. However, this lesson also has some weaknesses. For example, when the students were asked to expand the new word “luxury”, the teacher did not give them enough time to think.
