She is a success story that every person can relate to. Yes, she is Oprah Winfrey, the talk show queen in the world.

Several weeks ago, I watch an episode of Oprah show that makes me become interested in her. That was an interview with Taylor Swift when Taylor published her second album Fearless. The hosting style when she interviewed Taylor gave me a deep impression, respectable, patient, inspiring. She wasn't just talking, she was also listening. Her ability to empathize and her fearless courage in holding up her own dark past to the limelight, meant she could really connect with her guests and her audience.

Oprah Winfrey was born in 1954 in Mississippi, she had an unfortunate childhood. She has suffered sexual abuse by a number of male relatives when she was nine years old. And then, she went to live with her father, a strict, disciplined man. This, Oprah said, was the turning point in her life. In 1972, she entered the Tennessee state university. After her graduation, she began to host the “six o’clock news” program. In 1986, a talk show called AM Chicago was trailing last in the ratings. Oprah has interviewed many political and public figures during the past twenty five years. Such as Michael Jackson, Bill Clinton, even Chinese singer Zhangliangying was on her show. On the show you can learn so much, because many people go on her show and present all kinds facts and problems, and walk away with a plan or a solved situation. People do that stuff really should be respected because they make the world a better and safer place.

Oprah is not only a television hostess, but also an actress, producer, and philanthropist. She set up her own production company Harpo, which is well on its way to become a mighty force in film and television field. As her business grew so did her wealth and power, becoming the first black billionaire in 2003 and the most powerful woman in media broadcasting. Since 2004, Time magazine has six times conducted a poll to name the 100 most influential people in the world. Only one person has appeared on all six lists, Oprah Winfrey. She donates over a million dollars a year to charities, because she gives back to the community what the community gives her.
