4 Requirements and Procedure

4.1 Colorfastness to Artificial Light(GMW14162) / Natural Weathering(GMW3417/GM9538P).Until there is anagreement on natural weathering versus artificiallight testing, each region will use it ownrequirements.

4.2 Resistance to Cleaning Agents (GMW14334/ GMI 60266 / GM9900P).

Commercial vehicle interior cleaning agent(e.g. Sonax 321200, Armor All Cleaner, ArmorAll Protectant) Commercial window cleaning agent, (e.g.Windex Glass Cleaner Blue, Formula 409)4.3 Fogging,Volatility of Organic Constituents(GMW3235).

4.4 Resistance to Synthetic PerspirationSolution (GMW14352 / GMI 60275 / GM9517P).Note:Test only for parts with direct contact toperspiration by hand on large scale, e.g. steeringwheel, cover airbag driver side etc.

4.5 Resistance to Scratching and Mar(GMW14688 / GME 60280).

3 Test Preparation and Evaluation

3.1 Calibration.The test facilities and equipmentshall be in good working order and shall have avalid calibration label.

3.2 Equipment.Apparatus as required by theappropriate test method.

3.3 Test Vehicle/Test Piece. Unless otherwisespecified in the relevant test method for theproperty concerned, either the completecomponent or a section therefrom shall be usedfor test pieces. Unless otherwise specified in theappropriate test method at least one test pieceshall be tested.

3.4 Test Conditions.Test pieces shall not betested within 72 h of manufacture, if not otherwisespecified.

Unless otherwise specified, conditioning shall beas required by the appropriate test method. Fortests to paragraph 4.6 test pieces shall be testedin the as received condition (i.e. no specialpreconditioning).

3.5 Test Results.The test report shall have thesame subject titles and numbering as this testspecification.
