3 About objectiveLong long ago, there was a merchant, who was living in the north area of China.

At that period, sesame(芝麻) was only planted in south area, so he wanted to go there to buy some sesame oil(芝麻油) and carry them back to north area for sale, then he could earn a lot of money.

3 About objectiveSo he took a lot of money and left by horse.

After 2 months, he arrived south area, but he found that the south farmers got a bad crop(歉收)of sesame because of the rain, so he could not buy any sesame oil.

3 About objectiveHe was so depressed that he decided to go back with nothing. But the trip would took him 4 months and he could not get even one coin, he was confused.

Then, he thought about that: what am I doing, I came here to buy the sesame oil, or came here to earn money? I can’t get sesame oil, but I can do something else, I came here just for money.

3 About objectiveAfter that, he bought a lot of sesame pole(芝麻杆) for the pole was so cheap, and transported them to north area, which were made into baskets.

Finally, he earned a lot of money.

When we are confused, we should tell ourselves that, what am I doing now, I came here for sesame oil, or for money?
