ABSTRACT
Software radio technology and OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology are among the research hotspots of 4G. In the future development of 4G technology, different requirements in the same platform can be realized by adjusting the software algorithms rather than changing hardware conditions. OFDM technology has aroused concern because it has the advantages of strong ability of anti-multipath fading and high spectral efficiency, etc. Aiming at the problem of physical layer, an OFDM communication system based on SB3500 software radio platform has been designed in this dissertation.
First, this paper introduces the basic principles of OFDM technology. Matlab simulation tools is used to simulate transmitter and receiver processes. Subsequently, the impact of channel estimation and equalization technology on the performance of the system is also emphasized.
Then OFDM baseband signal processing system on SB3500 development board has been fully implemented. According to algorithm needs and characteristics of the DSP development board, a new programming method based on RPU command is adopted, which can greatly improve the performance of the system. Further, the channel estimation module and DAGC(Digital Automatic Gain Control) module of the project are studied, and finally good results in the actual test have been achieved.
