One day, Xiao Ming saw a little girl fall over. He ran to help the girl up without think twice, but his mother stopped him and said, “Don t do that. Otherwise, people will think it was you who knocked her down.” Days later, the mother was shocked to see Xiao Ming just leave the fallen oil bottle laying beside to him and did nothing. She shouted angrily, “Can t you see the fallen oil next to you? You are supposed to pick it up?” But Xiao Ming talked back to his mother immediately, “If I had picked it up, you would have thought that I did it.”

Mom felt frustrated. However, it serves her right. I disagree with what the mother did in the story. I think parents should set a good example to their children. Everything they say or do becomes a part of kids life and changes them. They should not only care for their children s health, but their minds. They should make an effort to educate their children that it is a pleasure to help others who are in trouble. We live in the society which is a big family for all of us.

Everyone should do something good to build up our society, right?
