HorizontalbranchstarsevolvedfromCaseBRGBmodelsshowmuchsmallersurfacerotationvelocitiesthanthosewithCaseDprecur-sors.Allmodelspreservearapidlyrotatingcorewithroughlyconstantangularvelocityouttoabout0.3M⊙.Therotationpro lesofmodelsdescendedfromCaseDRGBevolutioncontainrelicsofthehighspeci cangularmomentumofmaterialintheouterlayersoftheRGBprogen-itor.Theangularvelocitypro lechangeslittleduringEHBevolution-thecoredoesspindownabitastheangularmomentumismixed,buttheinnercorecontinuestospinaboutafactorof5slowerthanthefastestmaterial.Theangularvelocitydropsfromthemaximumbyafactorofabout10orsotothesurface.
Theinternalrotationpro leremainnearly xedthroughthestageofcoreheliumburning.AsshowninFigure1,therotationpro le(withradius)showsthesamegeneralfeaturesatthestartandendofHBevolution.Furtherevolutionresultsinlittleadditionalangularvelocitychangewithradius.Thisrelativelysmallchangeinangularvelocitypro leontheEHBcouldallowe cientparameterizationforstudiesoftheirseismicin uence.
