Abstract:Climatechangeaffectscropgrowththatresultsinvariationincropwateruseandconsequentlyirrigationrequirement.ThispaperinvestigatedtheimpactofthepredictedclimatewithHadCM3modelus ingtheIPCCscenariosofCOMMIT,SRA1B,SRA2andSRB1onwinterwheatgrowthandwaterusenearBeijingunderdifferentirrigationtreatments.GrowthofwinterwheatissimulatedusingCERESmodel.Theconclusionincludes(1)theairtemperaturewillincreaseandtheradiationwilldecreaseduringthegrowthseason;(2)thegrowthdurationwillbeshortenedanditcorrelatesnegativelywithairtemperature;(3)un dersufficientornoirrigationcondition,yieldandtheevapotranspirationwilldecreaseunderdifferentscenar ios;(4)irrigationdemandwillreduceby8.4%undersufficientirrigation;(5)wheatyieldcorrelatespositive lywithevapotranspiration.Keywords:climatechange;wateruse;winterwheat;HadCM3;CERES
