Abstract:ThepyrolysisprocessinN2ofthedicyclopentadiene(DCPD)/styrene(St)copolymerwasinvestigatedbydifferentialscanningcalorimetry(DSC)andthermogravimetry(TGA),andthekineticsparametersofpyrolyticreactionwerecalculatedbyFriedmanmethod(differentheatingspeedmethod)andKissingermethod(substituteofhigh-resolutionmethod).TheusefultimeoftheDCPD/Stcopolymerwasforecastedbasedonthedynamicsresearch.TheresultsshowedthatthepyrolyticreactionprocessoftheDCPD/Stcopolymercouldbedividedintothreestages:prophasestage(masslossrate≤20%),metaphasestage(masslossratebetween30%and80%)andanaphasestage(masslossrate≥90%).Theprophaseormetaphasereactioncouldthinkfirstorderreaction,theaverageactivationenergyofmetaphasereactionwas150.43kJ/mol.Thetemperatureofpyrolysiswasincreasedwithincreasingheatingspeed,andtheactivationenergyofpyrolysisreactionwasincreasedwithincreasingmasslossrate.TheDCPD/Stcopolymerhadwellthermalstabilitywhenthetemperaturewasunder200℃.
