Pride and Prejudice
Pride and prejudice is the representative work of the famous British female writer Jane Austen’s. It is a piece of novel that describes the love and marriage. Jane Austen was born in 1775, in Steventon, Hampshire and was dead in 1817. She was tutored at home. Her parents loved reading and she received a better education than many women of her time. Austen published Sense and Sensibility in 1811, the story of two sisters and their love affairs. And then Pride and Prejudice was first published in 1813. In 1816, another great novel was published, Emma. During that time, the novels in Britain were not remarkable at all and very plain. After Jane Austen published her novels, the situation began to change into another practical and reasonable style. Jane Austen’s style is easy and effortless, and she is a bright, attractive little woman, whose sunny qualities are unconsciously reflected in all her works. During Austen's lifetime, Austen's works brought her little personal fame. Through the mid-nineteenth century, her novels were admired only by members of the literary. By the 1940s, Austen was widely accepted in academia as a "great English writer".
