Unit 4 Where`s my schoolbag?

Period One (生词课)

Teaching and learning Goals:

1.Learn the new words of Unit 4. After learning , Ss can read the new words and remember most of the words in Unit4. Then Ss can understand the story.

2.By listening to tapes, working in pairs and asking the teacher for help.

设计意图:学生对本节课的教学目标了解,上课时更有目标性。

Teaching and learning steps :

Step 1:Learn to read the new words of Unit 4.(P90)

1.Ask Ss to read the new words of Unit 4 with their partners . Then check the difficult words.

2.Let the students read the difficult words according to the phonetic symbols and deal with the problems they have in their pronunciation in pairs or groups.

3. Get individual students to read the new words to the class, the others listen. If possible ,the teacher gets the student to correct some pronunciations

4.Play the tape ! Ss listen and repeat ! Correct their pronunciations.

5. Get the students to read by themselves again, and then ask some students to read in front of class. Make sure most students can read the words correctly.

设计意图::通过学生的自主学习,合作探究,小组互助达到学习新单词的目标,

同时借助听录音矫音,能使学生发音更标准。

Step 2 : Learn to remember words on P90.

一. Remember the words by looking at pictures.

1. Show pictures to teach new words and remember them by pictures.

2. Remember the phrases by answering the questions.

(1) With the help of the pictures, teach the prepositions: in on under like this T: The yellow box is in /on/ under the blue box. Ask the Ss to repeat and learn the three prepositions.

(2)Then ask and answer as practice:

(1)T: Where is the yellow box?

Ss: It`s in/on/under the blue box.

(2)T: Where is the toy? Ss: It`s in the box.

T: Where is the apple? Ss: It`s on the book.

T: Where is the cat? Ss: It`s under the chair.

设计意图:图片直观形象,七年级的学生更感兴趣,容易借助图片信息记住单词,

特别是对于方位介词,图片教学更方便直观形象。

3.Finish up 1a and 1b

二. Remember the words by their Chinese. Then check the words.

Have the students check if they remember all the words by working in pairs and check each other. If they can’t, they can open the books and read them again.

Step 3 Fill in the blanks and check the using of new words

First read the story by themselves .Then fill in the blanks .Next translate it.

Ss can make up different stories according to it.

e.g: Come on! This is my room. It`s not tidy. Some things are everywhere. Do you know where my hat is? Oh, it`s on the bed....... 设计意图:思维图能形象直观地呈现本节课的重点单词,更进一步地做到对单词的记忆,理解和应用。此图上出现了本单元出现的几乎所有单词,可以借助这个自编小文章或者续写上面的短文。

Step 5 当堂检测:

(一)词汇:根据括号中的汉语提示填写单词。
