Competitiveness of Chinese Enterprises, Problems and Solutions

Abstract

Competitiveness is the foundation of an enterprise's survival and development, whether or not it has an unique competitiveness, ie core competitiveness, has a direct impact on whether or not it can obtain competitive advantages. Economic globalization is the irreversible trend, after only a few decades of development, China's enterprises are being pushed to the international stage.To survive and thrive in the time of economic globalization, it is essential for China's enterprises to improve is core competitiveness.Theories about enterprise competitiveness, enterprise strategy, and etc are abundant, however, real world experiences are lacking behind the theories, moreover, many enterprises do not have a complete understanding of business management theories, or being too dogmatic which often lead to failures in carrying out the theories.This article revealed the importance of core competitiveness through introducing the concepts and analyzing related cases.Furthermore, this article analyzed current competitive situation of domestic enterprises, and pointed out the problems and pitfalls of building core competitiveness. Lastly, it discussed about how enterprises could raise core competitiveness.China's manufacturing industry is relatively lagged behind, this article, therefore, emphasized more on researching and analyzing technical enterprises. An enterprise cannot count on following a standard model to succeed, but in-depth thinking and persistence could do the job
