Step 1 Lead-in

Free talk

T: Hello, boys and girls. In this unit we learned about three different homes of three students from different countries. Do you know this boy? Can you tell me his name?

T: Yes, it’s Neil. What is Neil doing?

T: Yes, he’s having fun with his dog. Do you still remember what kind of home Neil lives in? A house or a flat?

T: Yes, he lives in a big house. This is Neil’s house. Now look at the picture.

How many floors does his house have? What’s in front of Neil’s house?

T: Yes, there are two floors and you can see a beautiful garden in front of his house. T: Do you still remember what Neil’s favourite room is? And why?

T: It’s the k itchen. His family and he often sit there and enjoy a cup of tea. T: Good. Boys and girls, do you want to know more about Neil’s home in the UK? T: Neil made a video of his house. Now let’s watch it and tell me how many places you can see in the video and what they are.

1. Watch and say

T: Now let’s watch the video of Neil’s house.

T: You can see six places in the video. What are they?

2. Write down the names

T: Now would you please write the name of the place under each picture?

2. Listen and label the things

T: Good job. Now we are going to listen to Neil telling more about his house. And this time, please label the things in the pictures with the words in the box.

3. Read the words
