一 教材分析

本节课的教学内容是七年级下册第1单元sectionA3a---secionB2c部分,其语言目标是主要是学习谈论如何邀请别人(talk about invitations),以及如何回应别人的邀请:欣然接受或委婉拒绝并且学会写邀请函。学会在集体交往中有理有节,如果自己有任务,要学会说“不”,并讲明理由,学会表达谢意和歉意。

二 教学目标

1. 知识目标:通过各种形式的操练,让学生能够熟练地运用目标语言提出邀请和表达自己意愿。本课学习的内容具有很强的实用性,因此在活动的设置上,会从日常生活中取材。并且基于学生在英语学习方面的困难,让学生们互相帮助、交流,从而学到更多提高英语水平的好方法。

2. 能力目标:引导学生充分进行探究,交流与讨论等教学活动,培养他们的钻研与合作精神。可以在现实生活中,灵活运用所学知识与人交流。

3. 情感目标: 让学生在学习中巩固英语思维模式,并能够生动准确流利地表达自己的想法,提高交际能力。看到自己的语言实践能力提高后,学生的学习兴趣自然也会提升,从而形成英语学习的良性循环。

三 教学重难点

1. 语法:邀请朋友参加聚会的相关句型。

2. 能够自如的运用句型邀请朋友,并且学会写邀请卡。

四 教学准备(Teaching materials):

教师课前需要了解与本单元相关的知识,准备录音机,日历。

Step1. Free talk and revision

1. Ask students to have a talk about their vacations and ask students some questions to review some words and phrases.

For example: 1. T: What’s the weather like today?

S: ……

2. T: Did you have a great vacation?

S: Yes, I did.

T: what did you do on vacation?

S: ……

【思路点拨】这一教学环节以刚刚度过的假期为话题,引导学生思考并就老师提出的问题进行回答,激活学生大脑中的相关知识网络,引导学生在情景中学语言。并且通过对话附以图片的方式让学生复习所学过的单词和词组,从听觉与视觉上激发了学生的兴趣。在这一活动中,教师是活动的引导者,学生是活动的主体。

2. Fill in the calendar. And match the phrases with the dates.

【思路点拨】这一教学环节复习巩固学过知识,并且为后面的教学环节做铺垫。

3. Review how to ask the dates.

What’s the date today?

Work in pairs according to the calendar.

A: What was yesterday?

A: What’s the day after tomorrow?

B: It is Thursday the 29th.

A: What's today?

B: It’s Tuesday the 27th.

【思路点拨】强化句型训练,巩固已学句型。

Step3. Learn new language

(1). T:Today is Tuesday the 27th. And Lisa’s birthday is June 30, so I received an invitation from her. Now let’s read it.

Let the students pay attention to the form.

The invitation

It’s a birthday party!

For whom: Lisa

Time: Friday, June 30,at four-thirty

Place: Lisa’s house, 15th street

Come and have fun!

(2). Read the invitation. Then fill in the blanks in the conversation.

Check the answers and let the students read loudly.

Lisa: Hi, Simon, ____ you come to my ______________?

Simon: ______ is it?

Lisa: It’s _______________, at____________.

Simon: Great! I’d love to.

(3).If Lisa’s friend, Andy, is having a birthday party or a New Year's Day's party, please write an invitation for him to invite the other students to his party.

Give them the form and let them fill in the information by themselves.

【思路点拨】在这个环节里,首先让学生看一份邀请函,并注意到书写格式,然后根据邀请函内容填空。通过这种方式,梳理知识把这两课所学内容,融会贯通到一起。最后,由教师提供一定的场景情况,指定任务让学生运用所学的知识完成邀请函的书写。从而贯彻了“学以致用“的教学目的。本环节旨在发挥学生的主体作用。

Step4. Listen and oral practice

(1).T: Now Andy wants to invite Vince to play tennis together. Let's find “Can Vince play tennis with Andy? ”Listen carefully and try to answer the question.

(2).Match Vince’s activities with the days.
