Unless 的用法

Conditional clauses with if and unless

1) if:如果谈论的是‘如果’某一个动作或事情发生后， 很可能将会产生某种结果，那么在复句中主句的动词 用一般将来时，而if从句用一般现在时，即“主将从 现”原则。

e.g. If it rains, we won’t take a hike tomorrow. He will get up school on time if the clock goes off. If he arrives in Hong Kong, he will floats call me.

2)unless的用法

一般情况下，unless相当于if…not，可以互换。同样遵循 “主将从现”原则。

eg:I won't let you in unless you show me your pass = I won't let you in if you don't show me your pass. 如果你不出示通行证，我就不让你进来。 She will miss the train unless she _______ up early.

As soon as 的用法

as soon as:一...就...,连接的时间状语从句，表示主从句 的谓语动词同时发生或几乎同时发生。规律是：主句 一般将来时，从句用一般现在时代替一般将来时。 eg:I will tell him the news as soon as he comes back。 I'll ring you up as soon as I arrive in Beijing.

so…that… 的用法

so .... that.... 如此....以致于.... ,引导结果状语从句。其 中so为副词，修饰形容词或副词，所以结构如下：

1）so+形容词/副词+that... eg:The teacher speaks so fast that I can't catch the words. 2) so+many/much/few/little+that... eg:I have made so many mistakes that I can't pass the exam. I have so liitle many that I can't buy anything.

［比较］so…that…与so that So that: 引导目的状语从句，意为“为了，以便”，通常从 句中用may，might，can，could等情态动词。 We left early so that we could catch the first bus. 我们很早出发，以便能赶上第一班汽车。
