The Alps(阿尔卑斯山)--the biggest mountain in Europe
The Alps is the name for one of the great mountain range systems of Europe, stretching from Austria and Slovenia in the east, through Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany to France in the west.
The scenery of the Alps is very beautiful and magnificent! You can climb the mountain as well as go skiing on the mountain. It is called the palace of the nature.
If you have seen the movie THE SOUND OF MUSIC ,you must still remember the scene that Maria brings the five children to a high mountain ,full of flowers, and grassland! They sing and dance on the mountain .It’s the Alps. And now the actress of Maria, Julie Andrews and her family members are living in Switzerland , the country surrounded by the Alps .
The Great Caucasus Mountains(大高加索山)
The Caucasus Mountains are a mountain system in Eurasia (欧 亚大陆)between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea(里 海) in the Caucasus region.
Geologically, the Caucasus Mountains belong to a system that extends from southeastern Europe into Asia. And it contains Europe's highest mountain, Mount Elbrus.
The Ural mountains(乌拉尔山)The Ural Mountains (Russian), or simply the Urals, are a mountain range that runs approximately from north to south through western Russia, from the coast of the Arctic Ocean to the Ural River and northwestern Kazakhstan.The mountain range forms the natural boundary between Europe and Asia.
The Danube River(多瑙河)The Danube is the European Union's longest river, located in Central and Eastern Europe. Classified as an international waterway, it originates in the town of Donaueschingen —which is in the Black Forest of Germany—at the confluence of the rivers Brigach and Breg.
The Danube then flows southeast for 1,914 km , passing through four capital cities before emptying into the Black Sea via the Danube Delta in Romania and Ukraine. In this way, You can enjoy a variety of different charm.
The Rhine River(莱茵河)——the second longest river in Central and Western Europe (after the Danube)
The Rhine and the Danube formed most of the northern inland frontier of the Roman Empire and, since those days, the Rhine has been a vital and navigable waterway carrying trade and goods deep inland. The many castles and fortifications along the Rhine testify to its importance as a waterway in the Holy Roman Empire. In the modern era, it has become a symbol of German Romantic nationalism.
