Germany has found a new case of bird flu on a small farm in the northeastern state of

Brandenburg, officials said Tuesday.

This is the third case of bird flu in ten days in Germany. It was found among 15 chickens on the farm in Brandenburg. Brandenburg is near to the German capital Berlin.

The farm’s owner was also looking after another farm with 31 chickens over the Christmas time. People killed the chickens on both farms for safety. Places around the farms have been

closed too. If others find that there is something wrong with their birds, they should report it to the officials as soon as possible.

Bird flu is a serious illness. The illness can pass from birds either to other birds or to human. By June 2006, WHO reported that an Indonesian man died after catching the flu from his 10-year-old son. Many birds and hundreds of people have died of the illness.

This year our class went to the zoo as part of our science project. We didn’t do much studying. We just had a good time. We got to school at 8:30 and took the school bus at 9 o’clock. When we arrived there, it was half past nine. We all wanted to see the dolphin show at 10, but before that we went to look at the snakes because they were part of our project.
