Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

Television advertising directed towards young children (aged two to five) should not be allowed.

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

when it comes to television advertising, some people hold the opinion that advertising directed towards young children, who aged two to five, should be allowed since this may cultivate the imagination and creativity of young children, plausible as it looked the first sight, this may work towards the opposite direction ,moreover may cause more disadvantages than advantages.

I am, probably will always be, one of those who strongly argue that commercials aim directly towards young children on television should be banned. I will present several paragraphs to support my point of view.

First, the forming of moral standard of a young child may be seriously affected by some dishonest commercials. Though advertisements allows people easily access to the information of latest goods and services. More or less, most commercials force the consumers to buy what they may not ever need in terms of playing the tricks such as making a perfect lie or telling a literal-truth . Their goods are usually not as good as their literal descriptions. The Adults had already set up their individual moral standard and values so that they can tell wrong from right, but young children are too naive to identify the tricks and they may ask their parents for those toys or snacks shining on the TV screen. Once they find the goods are not the vary one showed in the advertisement, they may be angry and come up with the idea that lying to people is not a big deal.

In addition, the flaring and dizzy pictures that commercials provide may hurt children's eyesight. In order to attract the audience, the advertisers were trained to knowing the psychological characteristic of people of different age. According to anthropologist, young children aged from 2 to 5 show their interest in colorful pictures and quickly moving matters, therefore advertisers may use flaring pictures to draw their attention and encourage them to stare at the screen. The common sense teach me that long-time staring at the screen will undoubtedly do harm to a child's eye organism which is growing day by day.

However, more rationally and practically speaking, commercials that aim directly toward young children do exist and frequently appear on television nowadays, indeed, they contribute to the development of the children's imagination and creativity in some degree. But in a large sense, this kinds of advantages should not be taken via sacrificing the moral standard and the health of the future of our race.

In general, children aged from 2 to 5 should be protect from being exposed to the commercials
