一、 pre-task preparation
1. Show the toys to the. students and introduce:

2. Put the pictures of toys and word cards on the blackboard. Encourage students to read them.
二、 While-task procedure.
1、 Show them a pencil and say:
This pencil is long.
Show them some pencils and say:
These pencils are long.
2. Encourage students to say:

Encourage studewts to say:

Pre-task preparation
1. Show the pictures of toys on the board. Ask students to call them.

3. Make dialogues according to the pictures.
While-task procedure
1. Show the cars to the students and ask students. If you like these cars,
how can you say ? Encourage students to say the sentences.
2. Show a picture of a skateboard and introduce it: This is a skateboard.
Show some skateboards and how do you say ? If you like the skateboards, how can you say ? If you don t like the skateboards, how do you say ?
3. Encourage students choose one picture to say: I like … Choose the
other picture to say: I don t like …
4. Put the robot into the box and ask students to guess. T: This is a toy.
What is it ?
5. Open the box. Show a robot to the students and say: This is a robot.
Can you say something about the robot ? T: Do you like robots ?
6. Show the masks of a cat and a dog. Give the mask to two students. T:
If you are a cat, do you like dogs ? If you are a dog, do you like cats ?
7. Oh, they don t like each other. Why ? Now let s listen to the story.
8. Play the cassette. Students follow in their books, then ask students to
repeat.
9. Divide students into pairs. Ask them to read the story as a dialogue.
10. For more able students encourage them to replace the toys with other
objects. Invite students to read the new dialogue to the class.
