As vividly shown in the picture, we can clearly find that the boy is so absorbed in chatting on the Internet while his mother was standing behind. Obviously, his mother wanted to talk to his son but unexpectedly，what she got as a response from her son was “ can’t talk now. I am chatting.” In fact, what the picture conveys here is far from what a web user is doing in his virtual world. Instead, it reveals thought-provoking phenomenon.

However, we have to admit such a phenomenon is quite familiar to us. It can be understandable that online chatting, as a new communicative way, has become more and more popular, especially with us youngsters. Taking me as an example, I used to be sitting in front of the computer day and night, typing, playing games or chatting. You know what happened ? It was not only a waste of time but also caused me to pay less and less attention to people and things around. As a result, I neglected my study and gave up much social communication which is essential for mental health.

Of course now I realized we should take a positive attitude towards the Internet so as not to be addicted to it. We should try to reduce the negative effect to the minimum and make online chatting our valuable assistant. We should interact with our parents frequently to narrow the generation gap. Just imagine if we become too dependent on chatting on the Internet, it may, in the long run, give rise to more serious social problems.

As we all know, Shanghai World Expo is bring great benefits to China. Millions of guests from home and abroad visited Shanghai. We showed the significant development in science and technology of Shanghai and many beautiful tourist attractions to the whole world.

However, some phenomenons are arousing our attention at the same time. Some people who are not disabled are sitting in wheel-chairs. Baby strollers for babies were filled with young kids. We have also found that several people followed the same old man going through the Green entry and some others didn’t follow the right way of U-tern aisles and they jumped the queue instead, just for their convenience and benefits.

It is widely accepted that these behaviors are not right. On the surface of these phenomena, they left a bad impression on the visitors, but at the second thought, they provided a valuable opportunity for us Chinese to find out the bad habits of ourselves. Still more importantly, we also learnt that civilization is the key to making a harmonious city rather than science and technology.

All in all, we should lay emphasis on our behaviors and perfect our personality. Then we will show a harmonious society to the whole world.
