三． Grammar精讲：数量的表达

1. 用little / few, a little / a few, many / much等谈论数量

（1）little系列：little / a little用于不可数名词前 There is a little water in the bottle.

few系列：few / a few 用于可数名词前 There are a few bottles in the box.

（2）带a系列：a little / a few 意为“一些“，虽然不多但仍然有一些

不带a系列：little, few意为“几乎没有”，表示否定，

There are few people in the room.

There is little water left in the bottle.Li Ming is making a report now. 李明现在正在做报告

用few, a few, little或a little填空：

1. There was _______________ food in the fridge. It was nearly empty.

2. – When did Sarah go out?-- _______________ minutes ago.

3. I can’t decide now. I need _______________ time to think about it.

4. There was _______________ traffic, so we arrived earlier than we expected.

5. The bus service isn’t very good at night – there are _______________ buses after 9 o’clock.

6. I’d like to practise my English more but I have _______________ chances.

2. many, much 许多； many修饰可数名词， much修饰不可数名词

注意：too much 表示“大量的”，后接名词；

much too 表示“太，很”，后接形容词。（用就近原则记忆）

用many, much, how much，how many 填空：

2. There aren’t _______________ hotels in the town.

3. We haven’t got _______________ petrol in our car.

4. Were there _______________ people on the train?

5. Did _______________ students fail the exam?

6. Paul hasn’t got _______________ money in his wallet.

3. plenty of, a lot of, lots of 都是“大量的”意思，可接可数名词或不可数名词.

There is lots of/plenty of work to do。
