小时侯，听爷爷讲过这样一则故事：从前，有座山庄，那里森林葱郁，河水清澈，鸟语花香，人们活得非常快乐。后来，有一个人来到这儿，对当地人们说：“你们拥有巨大的财富。”人们高兴极了，以为这儿埋有大量的金银财宝。于是，他们开始砍倒树木寻找黄金。一年后，那人又来了，人们因为没有找到财宝而质问那人。那人叹口气说：“我说的财富就是你们原来拥有的那优美宜人的环境。”人们听后难过极了，因为现在这里的气候很差，也很少有鸟儿光顾。当时，我并没有听懂这个故事。我也不认为村民们破坏了世外桃源般的环境是不对的，反而责怪那外来者诱导人们的思想。现在想想，村民们真的是大错特错了。美丽的大自然，是无穷的财富，这是人人都可以意识到的，

大自然自身的美，也许就是一种魅力无限的美吧! “长江长城，黄山黄河，在我心中重千斤??”一曲《我的中国心》感动了多少国人的心。然而，由于人们的乱砍滥伐，美丽的长江黄河变得浑黄污浊，甚至出现断流现象。人类是大自然的主导者，可以让大自然变得更加和谐统一，也可以破坏大自然。近些年来，人们为了谋取更多的经济利益，使大自然遭到严重的破坏，使得许多名贵的花草和珍稀的动物濒临灭绝。幸运的是，人们现在已意识到了大自然的生态价值远远大于其经济价值，因而建立起了各种各样的大自然保护区。然而，人们为此却付出了巨大的代价。倘使人们尊重大自然，人们就可以节约更多的金钱投入到科学研究当中去。大自然，是我们生存依赖的家。我们对它进行攻击和破坏等于把自己往火坑里推。为了我们能够更好地生存与发展，我们应当好好地珍惜它，爱护它。
