动词后面添加 ING,一般有三种常见的情况：

(1)在动词后面直接添加，如collect→collecting,play→playing等；

(2) 动词去掉最后不发音的字母e,再加ing, 如：ride→riding, dive→diving等； (3)重读闭音节结尾，动词双写最后一个字母，然后再添加ing, 如 ：swim→swimming,run→running等。

动词ING形式在句中一般有什么作用

一般有两种作用：

1、表示现在进行时态的需要。2、动名词形式。

在本课like doing sth … 句型中需要用到动名词形式。
