Some disasters in ChinaThe earthquake in Wen Chuan. Time: May 12th,2008 Harm: 55740 people were killed; 292481 people injured; 24960 people disappeared. The earthquake in Yu Shu. Time: April 14th, 2010 Harm: 2698 people were killed;12128 people injured; 256 people disappeared.

The earthquake in Ya An.Time: April 20th ,2013 Harm: 196 people were killed;11470 people injured; 21 people disappeared.

The drought in Yun Nan.

Time: From September ,2009 to March ,2010. Harm:4.97million of people were stricken; direct economic losses are 2.52 billion RMB .

The dibris flow in Zhou Qu Time: August 7th,2010 Harm: 1463 people were killed ; 2244 people injured; 302 people diappeared.

1.The weather will become worse than usual. There will be strong wind, heavy rain and bright light in the sky.

2.Animals will become nervous. eg. mice will run out of the holes; fish will jump out of ponds; cows, pigs, horses and dogs will be upset. 3.Water in rivers and wells will rise and fall. 4.We will see cracks in the wells and the smelly gas will come out of the cracks.

In School: In the classroom, you should use the bag to protect your head , close your eyes and hide under the desks. In the playgroud outside,you can squat down locally, protect the head with your hands and avoid the tall bubildings. In The Wild: avoid the foot of the hill,the klint(陡 崖),and the steep hill ,in case of landslide and debris flow. In The Public: If you are near the door ,run out quickly. If you are not near the door, squat down locally or hide under the chairs or desks. Avoid droplights, electric fans .Protect your head.
